The Argentinian King. What can I say about the (extremely charming and handsome) man who fixed my symmastia and hung a set on me with Michelangelo-level craftsmanship? Breast revision surgery is an art, and the man is an artist. This review won’t be completely effusive, though, because I have a few bones to pick, but I cannot say one damn bad thing about the results. In 2021, I had my third breast augmentation with a doctor in Bethesda, Maryland. I went to the doctor because he graduated from Harvard Medical School. Public service announcement: never choose a doctor based solely on where he went to school. In any event, I ended up with symmastia. Meaning that my left breast implant crossed the midline. In other words, my breast was deformed. I underwent two more corrective surgeries with the same doctor, but he never fixed the problem. I lived with this deformed breast for four years. Over the years I talked to several doctors about revision, including renowned Dr. Hammond in Michigan. After much research, I happened upon Dr. Seren’s IG. Of any surgeon I had found, he had the most before and after photos of breasts with symmastia that he had repaired. So I got a quote and my eyes bulged out of my head at the expense $$$$! These are not the prices to which I had become accustomed as an avid medical tourist. Do I think I probably got the infamous American tax? Yeah. Do I think it was worth every penny, though? Also, yes! Unlike Dr. Hammond, Dr. Seren told me, with confidence, “I can fix that!” So after much thought, and a little (though not much at all) negotiation, I headed from New York City to Buenos Aires. At my first appointment, I met Dr. Seren. He was just like I will fix this for you, you have to stay here at least three weeks and do what I say but you’re going to be happy. Next, I was ushered to the office where it was time to make my payment. Although the doctor speaks English, his staff does not. So I found communicating with them before the surgery somewhat difficult. In any event when time for payment came, I was told that I needed to pay cash or a 15% up charge. Excuse me? No one told me to bring cash. I had the cash, and I could’ve brought it, but no one told me to bring it. So there was a very tense hour with the office staff going back and forth after point they asked if I wanted to talk to Dr. Seren. Now really I thought to myself, I didn’t know how much good that was gonna do, the man is both beautiful and charming, I could see how he might be persuasive but I agreed. After speaking with him, he told me the upcharge would only be 4%. Which still was a pretty penny. But I had flown all the way to Argentina, so I ate the upcharge. So all that to say, bring cash. Otherwise, I felt so cared for and safe in his hands. He really did magnificent work. 10/10 would recommend but if you’re coming from America, don’t think you’re getting medical tourism prices. Argentinian King or Argentinian G.O.A.T.? I’d say the latter. So treat yoself!
